Deep Pockets (0-1) @ For The Win (1-0)
While last week was no doubt a crazy one it was also a test for most leagues, including DP who came into this season with low expectations from everyone. While they almost beat BnR last week, it was also without Steve and Matt winning a game leaving Brice and Jake to pick up there four wins. This week they come into there match again, against a tough opponent and fairly outgunned but with the pickup of Adam and Marco the past week, DP could pull out a win and prove to this tough PRO crowd that DP isn't just some slouch of a league. FTW shockingly had to have Brian carry for them last week, and while DS seems to have another stacked team, I didn't see that coming in any way. With the likes of Roy, Ant, Serena and Stephen still on the roster with Brian who carried them, FTW looks like they could possibly have smooth sailing against DP, but in any case, DP proved not to count them out, and last week proved that in PRO, anything is possible.
5-3 FTW
Break and Run (1-0) @ Deadstrokes (0-1)
Break and Run went a tough 9 games against DP last week which no one saw coming, with Mina forced to carry last week, and with the loss of Jordy and Craig Break and Run could be in trouble. If they happen to get down early this week, they will need the likes of Ross and Mina to be on top form and able to carry with help from Paul or Tanmay. BNR will most likely look to Ross and Mina to beat DS, and while they do that, DS will look for George, Omar and Luis to carry the load and take out DS. DS came within a game of beating FTW last week, but almost only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades so this week they will need to come back with a vengeance and take advantage of what looks like to be a weakened BNR team. If DS can get out to a early 3-0 lead, and go into the carry at least 3-2, I don't know that BNR, with the lack of Jordy will be able to bounce back from that.
5-3 DS
Beer Ball Masters (1-0) @ Pool Hall Pros (0-1)
BBM relied on Brent to carry them last week and it happened, something that I didn't think would even rise up. With the likes of Tyler, Matt, JT, and James who showed up last week, for sure common sense would have said, one of those 4 could at least win a game. I don't know if they will rely on one person to win all 5 games again because if Kevin shows up to play a few matches, and if Matt decides he doesn't want to miss an easy 8 again, BBM could possibly run the table the rest of the way. PHP who relied on Cameron to try to carry, got to the 9th game before he was stopped by Sid, I'm not sure that anyone would have doubted Sid though to make sure Cameron didn't win. But Cameron can't do it all himself and Candi will need to show up as well to make sure Cameron has at least a little bit of help, and if Steve can show up and be that third person, PHP could make some noise the rest of the way, while I do think that Candi, Cameron and Steve can all three get wins against people in BBM, I just don't think those three have what it takes to really carry a team to victory like is needed. If BBM shows up with any type of solid five, they should take this one.
5-2 BBM
Freedom (0-1) @ Straightshots (1-0)
FR brought a solid five last week and got to a 4-1 lead on BBM before Brent just decided to plow through the rest of the FR team like they were a stick of butter, I don't see FR allowing that again, if they get a 4-0 lead they probably won't squander it away this time. With Matt making an appearance, AB being back in the fold and if one or both of Nish and Ben can play well, I see them getting a solid win over Straightshots and FR making another one of there runs towards the playoffs, however, Straightshots stands in there way and with the likes of Sid, Pita and JJ at the top of there roster, they are no easy task for any team let alone a team that needs there best players to show up every night. Straightshots can make a run for the playoffs, and can take out Freedom tonight if Sid, Pita and JJ are all in top form and don't make any kind of silly mistakes. Pita is known for being an MVP Candidate seemingly each year, but he doesn't need to be the carrier this year with Sid being a solid player and can be relied on if needed, I do believe SS has this one, as long as they don't let FR get 3 or 4 wins.
5-4 SS
